RECOVERING ALCOHOLIC HAS A NEW FIGURE AND A NEW OUTLOOK ON LIFE
"Several months ago, I finally faced the fact that I was an overweight (186 pounds), undernourished, and unhappy alcoholic. I would start drinking around 7:00 a.m. and not finish until 3:00 p.m. or later. I remember one time when I drank from 7:00 a.m. until 2:30 a.m. the next day. Sometimes I would try to cut back on my drinking, but it never lasted. My husband, Larry, asked me several times to call Alcoholics Anonymous but I kept thinking I could do it myself.
My life was really going downhill. I had a good job as supervisor in a small factory in
I was hurting my family too. My son, John, Age 8; and two daughters; Tara, 16, and Paula, 15; deserved a mother who was more in charge of her capabilities than I. When I started having blackouts it really frightened me.
I was trying hard to control my drinking problem when my loving husband came home with a supply of Herbalife products.
"Here honey," he said, "we're going to start the Herbalife weight-loss program!"
I sarcastically though, Sure--I can't even control my drinking, let alone my eating!

I was placed on Herbalife Products on June 14, 1994. My wife told me I was going on these products and we were going to lose weight. I was sceptical. I had been on other diets and I had lost weight but I craved ice cream, cheese, and chocolate bars. I had cheated with all three. When I went off of these diets I gained every pound back.
