I am writing this to you as a fellow U. C. (ulcerative colitis) sufferer, to inform you about a range of products which has given me such relief that I seldom experience any symptom of UC anymore at all, ( for the past 8 months) and when I do, it is only very, very, mild.
I worked under tremendous stress especially due to the high crime rate in the area where my business is situated, and I was constantly fatigued through working 16/17 hours a day, 7 days a week. That kind of lifestyle leads to poor and irregular nutritional habits, and I actually worked myself to a standstill.
You yourself know that the exact cause(s) of UC are not known to the medical profession at this stage. (don't we hope they would find out, because then surely they could find a cure), but surely my previous lifestyle and nutritional habits made me more susceptible to ANY illness.
Early in 1998 I became seriously ill and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis.
By the nature of this illness, I was bleeding almost non-stop from the colon and was using the toilet up to 20 times throughout the day and night to eliminate the blood. Whatever foods I ate caused me tremendous pain in the digestion and elimination process so I was not eating nor properly either, and I lost 22kgs within the first six weeks of my illness. The entire intestinal tract and abdomen was virtually permanently bloated to the point that even the passage of urine, which virtually had to force it’s way out because of the constriction caused by the swelling, caused crying & pain. The same applied to wind and the movement of wind within the body. Perhaps I am going into a lot of detail here, but the reason is that through being in contact with other UC sufferers on the World-Wide Web, it appears that many of us have differing, and more, or less, severe symptoms.
Because of losing so much blood and not eating nor sleeping properly, I was very weak and had to be next door to the bathroom 24 hours a day, and my whole life (?) became no more than an existence ! My wife and children were badly stressed because of my condition, and, this together with constant pain and suffering and (as you know) no foreseeable relief, led to me going through bad phases of depression. I went through suicidal phases, as many others that I have been in contact with, and if you have reached this stage, STOP!!! READ ON.
The medications that I was using never controlled the illness, and I suffered as described for 15 months, until, THANK GOD, I was introduced to Herbalife’s Nutritional Products. It made sense to me that, because the Nutritional Protein Drink, which is in a powder form, is consumed by being mixed in milk, fruit juice, etc, it would be easy to eat (drink), and should not be so strenuous on my digestive system, so I started using this NPD, and also Thermojetics Herbal Concentrate and Herbal Aloe, on the 25th of May1999.
I had no way of knowing it then, but that was the day that I got my life back ! Incredibly, the very next day, as the hours passed, I had constantly increasing energy, and on the third day I had my first nights uninterrupted sleep in 15 months. Day by day I had more energy and was feeling stronger and by the twelfth day I stopped taking my medication because it was finished, and I just never bought anymore, until, 5 weeks after starting on the products, THE BLEEDING STOPPED and since that day I have not had a single symptom of this disease! Three and a half months after starting on these AMAZING products, I had gained 16 Kgs in weight.
This happened during the first week of July 1999. Today is the 15th of January 2000 and my weight this morning is on 68 Kgs, up by 16, I use the toilet quite normally twice a day now, I eat and sleep better than before I became ill, and I honestly have never felt healthier in all my life, and, with unbelievable energy !
Ulcerative Colitis is incurable, and I cannot argue with medical science about that, but what I sincerely believe is that, simply through feeding my body with optimum nutrition as provided by The Herbalife Nutritional Program, my body’s defenses and naturally-designed self-healing capability has definitely been aided in this function.
Occasionally I feel the disease trying to take hold again, but I simply double-up my consumption of the Herbalife products, and I only experience 1or 2 days discomfort and it passes, because, as I believe, my body's resistance has definitely been enhanced by these products.
My whole family now uses these products daily to ensure good health, because we all need the benefits of proper nutrition, and I will not wait for one of them to get ill first before feeding them the products..

I suffered with Ulcerative Colitis since 1978. The doctors kept me medicated and told me I would be on these medications for life. I was convinced this was a disease.
It controlled every day of my life. I was always in fear of having an attack and many times choose to stay in the confines of my home.
My daughter got on the products and then brought them home to me. I got on Formula 1, 2, and 3 along with Aloe. Immediately, I had great energy and started feeling better. I knew the products were working.

The typical prescriptions were prescribed: Prednisone, Asacol, at times Lomotil. The prednisone made it so I could not sleep, I would take over the counter medicine a few times a week just so I could get some sleep. The prednisone put me into bouts of depression. A few times Paxil was prescribed. I tried it but it made things worse so I scrapped that. The cycle just was not ending. I sought out natural medicine which indeed helped and brought about a new awareness.
This October after 7 years of using other natural products and still my medications during my flares, I gave Herbalife a try. I was VERY skeptical, as I thought I'd tried them all. Herbalife Rocks because it took the guess work out my program.

Last year 2000, I suffered from a bad attack of Bronchitis which put me in hospital and subsequently I found that as an after effect I developed a form of progressive neuropathy which meant that my legs and feet were extremely painful and in fact virtually stopped working altogether.
I spent some two weeks in Hospital and six months recuperating from this condition. In about July I started taking Herbalife products (F1, F2, F3, N.R.G. and Roseox).
Now I was a little dubious about these ‘Herbal things’ as I was taking a bucketful of prescription drugs and have suffered from Ulcerative Colitis and subsequently Chron's disease for some 10 years.
I could not believe the transformation in my energy levels and feeling of wellbeing that affected me in just a few weeks. I also started to take the Aloe Vera concentrate for my digestive system and feel 100% better that this time last year. My weight is under control, my Crohn's Disease is comfortable and the neuropathy is virtually non-existent.

I was a mess before finding Herbalife. I got on the products to lose weight - which I did - 45 lbs. and 60 inches. But, a miracle occurred.
