I was very sceptical in the beginning about Herbalife because of the price, and signed up as a distributor to be a discount customer. I soon realised the business opportunity and qualified as a Supervisor in October 2000.
I had then lost 8kg's.
During a visit to my gynaecologist, I told him that I was using the Herbalife products and that I would like to continue using them throughout my pregnancy and he had no objections to this. At the time we were trying to fall pregnant again.
In January 2001 I found out that I was pregnant for the second time. I had not used the Herbalife products in my previous pregnancy 3 years earlier, as I had not yet been introduced to them.
On each visit to my Gynaecologist I checked yet again whether he was still happy to see me using the Herbalife products and every time he reassured me that there was no problem.

We spent the entire weekend under stress and strain as we did not know what to expect. On Thursday, 3 May 2001 I had an appointment with my Gynaecologist. Although the blood results were high for this condition he wanted to take a further look through sonar. He repeated the sonar 3 times before concluding, to our relief, that there were no signs of this condition
I was still obliged to go for a second opinion so as to be assured. The second gynaecologist could also find no traces of the condition and we got to discussing the fact that I was using Herbalife products as well as another common supplement for pregnant women. She was very upset as she said that I was busy giving my unborn child far too much Vit A. At this stage I was already 7 months pregnant and decided that if this was in fact true that it was probably too late to do anything about it anyway.
When I went to my own Gynaecologist again for a follow-up visit, I asked him about what the other doctor had suggested and so we went through the ingredients of the Herbalife products together and we noticed that only the NPDM contained Vit A and also Folic Acid. I told him that I had already been on the products for more than a year and he reassured me that this had probably already been a help to my child
On Wednesday, 19 September 2001 at 17:45 I gave birth by Caesarean section to our little baby girl - Carla. She weighed 3.2kg at birth with no signs of Spina Bifida. On Friday morning, just two days after the Caesar, I asked my doctor whether I could go home from the hospital as I felt fine. He agreed as both Carla and I were both doing well.
I recovered from this Caesar much quicker than I did with the first one and had little if none of the discomforts that I had with my first pregnancy. In my first pregnancy I was constantly nauseous and had severe heartburn, and in this pregnancy had very little nausea and no heartburn.
I believe that through the use of the products I was able to recover from this birth far quicker than before

I was introduced to Herbalife by my mom Sarina van Aswegen. I started using the products while my mom was pregnant with me. She's breast feeding me now, so I still take all the products!
On Saturday 20 April 2002 I started drinking the Shake. When my mom takes her shake in the mornings, I also get a few sips out of a glass or the shaker! I really love the shake; she's mixing it with fruit juice for us
At 20 weeks I've got my first tooth. At 5 months I was sitting by myself and two days before I turned 8 months I started crawling. At 8 months and 5 days I spoke my first word “mommy” I now have two teeth + one which is halfway out and two more which are almost out.
I just want to thank my mom Sarina for introducing me to these wonderful Herbalife products.

We want to share our babies' testimonials.
On May 2001 our twin’s babies were born extremely premature at 26 weeks of gestation. Luis Ernesto weighted 1 lb and 12 oz and Juan Pablo weighted 1 lb and 9 oz. They went directly to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Luis spent 3 months in there while Juan Pablo spent 5 months in intensive care. They went through all kinds of infections, treatments, exams, and MAXIMUM life support (ventilators, gastrointestinal tubes, etc).
After they came home, the complications with their health persisted. A simple cold or ear infection would send Juan Pablo back to the hospital twice that year. It was frustrating to hear the doctors say that there was nothing that would help build their immune and respiratory systems and that the only thing to do was to treat the symptoms after they occur. They put the kids on all kinds of medication for asthma (aubuterol, xopenex, pulmicort, steroids) and each kid would have to use the nebulazer twice a day (normal days) and every 3-6 hours when they were sick.
On top of that, Juan Pablo had a serious acid reflux problem caused by so many tubes they put on his month when in the hospital.
Because my wife and I had lost weight with Herbalife and because of the advice from a friend and especially due to the frustration of seeing our kids so sick all the time, we decided to try the products on them, with the OK of our paediatrician, pulmonologist and GI doctors.
The results are AMAZING.
1) No single cold in more than 7 months!!!!! They only have had a small virus infection that only gave them high fevers, but no coughing or wheezing.
2) Off of all asthma medication. We have not used the nebulizer in 6 months. No pulmicort, xopenex or aubuterol!
3) Juan Pablo (the smallest and sickest) had to have surgery for one of his testicles. We were really scared about his health after surgery. He went in for surgery at 8:00 am. He was released from the hospital the SAME day! Next day he was WALKING already! His doctor is amazed.
4) No allergies or problems during the spring season. While a lot of their premiee baby peers were seeing the doctor during allergy season, these guys were having a nice time. I even mowed the lawn with Juan Pablo in my back (using the carrier).
5) No more acid reflux for Juan Pablo! He was on Prilosec once a day and now that is gone!!!!!! NO Prilosec.
Here is what we have given them:
Every morning they have:
- 1/2 Schizandra tablet (crushed with apple sauce)
- 1/2 Dinomins tablet (crushed with apple sauce)
- 1 spoon of Formula 1 per kid (at lunch time mixed with yogurt or rice cereal)
- 1 spon of Formula 1 on their bottles before they go to bed.
- 1 cap of Aloe Drink concentrate on their bottles before they go to bed.
We are so glad to help with any questions, we need to get the word out that we are so blessed to have these products.

Hi there. I had major surgery that removed about 6 inches of my colon and 9 inches of my bowel. I started taking Herbalife 2 weeks after my surgery and continued to breastfeed my 3 month old son. I noticed a major increase in the first few days!!! People thought I looked fantastic and couldn't believe that I had just had surgery.
I lost 15 lbs. and 15" in my first month. My son is now a whopping 20 lbs at 5 months of age and is as healthy as can be. He also likes the shakes better than baby formula. I don't hesitate to refer Herbalife to anyone

I wanted to tell everyone how wonderful the Herbal Aloe Soothing Gel, really is!
My 16 month old son woke up with extremely bad nappy rash, and he was in a lot of pain, he must have had an allergic reaction to something he ate. I decided to put the gel on the rash. A couple of hours later the redness had receded and he no longer was in pain. By the next morning the rash was totally gone.
I have tried everything on the market when he gets nappy rash and nothing ever works that quickly, we take it wherever we go.
Again, I can not get over the wonderful benefits we all receive from these wonderful products!
